Discover 'Art in the Yards': amazing, large-scale artworks, in an open-air setting, which are free to browse and enjoy!
The award-winning project is run by Darlington Town Centre Management, in conjunction with Darlington Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and Yards' businesses. Students from the BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art and Design have created these wonderful, attractive, 11 art pieces. Businesses from the Yards have given kind permission to install the artworks on their properties and are very supportive of the innovative project.
Vibrant, exotic, quirky, stylish and unique - take time to go and see the range of artwork, located in historic Clark's Yard and Buckton's Yard. These quaint yards link Darlington's main street, High Row, to another of its key streets, Skinnergate, right in the heart of the town centre.
We are hoping to develop and extend 'Art in the Yards' so please take a moment to complete our survey form and let us have your views. By filling in the form you could be helping us to attract additional funding for this innovative project, and improving the Darlington experience too!
